Tuesday Garden Party - First Week of Fall?

After last week's tobacco worm discovery (and thanks to advice from Peggi, I kept an eye on the plants and found another one on my peppers - ugh!), I was hoping to be done with big bugs.

Apparently not.  We've got these guys on our corn.

Well, we did have, until I politely escorted them from the yard.  Maybe not that politely.

It's hard to believe that summer is over.  Especially since it was 97F yesterday, with expected highs in the mid- 90s all week.  And we are still growing tons of these wonderful habaneros...

... with the ghost peppers starting to flower...

... and the scorpions too!

Our sweet peppers (once we clear the "quarantine" period) will be coming in like gangbusters.  I like these stripey ones!

And can it be fall if we have lemons ripening on the tree?

Or corn still just starting?

We've still got a garden full or beautiful roses...

... and a surprise marigold.

Well, I guess if it is fall, I like it!

Here's hoping we are done with bugs.  At least big creepy bugs.  You will have to check back next week to see - in the meantime, check out An Oregon Cottage for her weekly Garden Party.
