San Diego has been hot this week. Extraordinarily hot for here, and even hot for other places. So we've been trying to find some good ways to cool off. I think icy treats definitely fit that bill.
Creamsicles
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 cup fat-free vanilla yogurt
- 1 -2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
Directions:
Mix orange juice and yogurt together. Add sugar to taste (I didn't need any - I might have added more yogurt if I had had any)
Pour into popsicle molds.
Freeze for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
Remove from the molds and enjoy! (A tip for removing from the mold - take it out of the freezer and wait about 5 - 10 minutes... your popsicle will slide right out of the mold!)
These were really good! Not quite the creamsicles from my childhood, but healthier and pretty close. A great snack for a hot evening!
